A LITTLE MORE ABOUT ME!

Hi! Thanks for stopping in! My name is Rakelia Pearson. I am a labor and delivery, postpartum, and newborn Registered Nurse (BSN, RN) and International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) with a Master’s degree in human lactation. I have been happily married to my wonderful husband for 17 years and we have 3 beautiful children. I am an U.S Army veteran and a retired military spouse, so we have been all over!

Breastfeeding is my passion, and my goal is to make a change one baby at a time. My breastfeeding journey started with me not having a clue about breastfeeding, and not having the support in my community to be successful. That’s unacceptable, support should be available no matter what! So, I decided to go to school and provide the education and support needed to be successful.

Breastfeeding can be a very difficult journey without the proper education and support. I know having a newborn can be very stressful and demanding. My goal is to make the transition as easy as possible. I offer office and virtual visits including, but not limited to counseling, support, weighted feeds, latch assessments, education classes, and much more.
